Toyota offers a 19-month Graduate Development Programme (GDP). This programme is targeted towards recent graduates looking for their first job to start and develop their career.
As a graduate, you will be assigned a real job from the beginning where you will spend the majority of your time, being supported and guided by your colleagues and mentor. You will also participate in a number of training courses and placements to help you learn, understand and practice how to work in the Toyota Way:
Classroom training:
Learn about our corporate culture and strong identity.
Learn how to write reports and communicate effectively.
Learn how to manage projects.
Learn how we solve problems.
Placements:
Spend 8 weeks in one of our production plants as a team member working on the line and experiencing the famous Toyota Production System.
Spend 6 weeks working in another division to learn what they do and how it impacts your own division.
Some of you will spend 4 weeks in a Toyota retailer in your home country, where you will support salesmen and service managers in their daily activities.
